David J. Alessi's Obituary
David J. Alessi, 51, of Liverpool, passed away at home with his loving family and friends after a gallant and courageous fight with Spina Cerebellar Ataxia. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Le Moyne College and was associated with Michael Roberts as a stockbroker. David was a communicant of St. John's Church, Soule Rd. and was an avid fan and supporter of the NY Yankees, SU and Liverpool Warrior sports. He was predeceased by his parents, Rocco and Ann Alessi. David is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Terri (Gravante) Alessi; sons, Michael, Marc and Alex, all at home; brothers, Tony Alessi and Ron (Judie) Alessi; sister, Emily (Ray) Dopkowski; mother and father-in-law, Josephine and Joseph Gravante; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Carey Merritt, Joann and Robert Powell; many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. A celebration of David's life will be held on Saturday, 12:30 pm at St. John's Church, Soule Rd. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 5 to 8 pm. Per David's wishes, no black attire, please wear orange and blue in honor of his love for SU and Liverpool sports. In lieu of flowers, donations graciously accepted by David's family for his children's education.
