David J. Baichi's Obituary
David J. Baichi, 44, of Solvay, passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2020 after sudden heart complications. David was born in Syracuse and graduated from Solvay High School later obtaining his associates degree from O.C.C. David was employed as a Police Officer with the Solvay Police Department. An avid reader, he enjoyed real estate investing and home improvement projects inspired by the mentor-ship of Tom Gannon. Spending many hours browsing the home depot store for his latest tool to master.
A long time Bartender at the Zoo Station, the countless friends and memories from those days will be long remembered. His interest in law enforcement began at the age of 33, he truly enjoyed helping others in his position as a police officer. David was a fun-loving person and had a great sense of humor. He was a man that you could count on and gave his all every day; generously donating anonymously to help to those in need.
He is predeceased by his brother Peter M. Baichi (2008) and an uncle Anthony Lombardo. David is survived by his parents, Peter M. Sr. & Mary Lou (Lombardo) Baichi; two brothers, Matthew (Carrie) Baichi of PA, Derek T. Baichi, of Solvay; two nieces, Ava Brook and Lila Rose Baichi; two nephews Cole Parker and Chase Maxwell Baichi, aunt and uncle John and MaryAnne Baichi, of Marcellus, and aunt Sandra Lombardo of Marcellus; several cousins; along with his best friend Joanna Rizzo.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
