David J. Brzostek's Obituary
David J. Brzostek, 65, of Cicero, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, January 15, 2016. He was born in Syracuse on March 9, 1950, son of the late Joseph and Sophie (Ciborowski) Brzostek. David was a fireman with the Syracuse Fire Department for over 15 years. David loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Connor who he adored. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand and was a very kind and thoughtful step-father and grandfather who will be truly missed.
He was predeceased by his wife and high school sweetheart who was the love of his life, Nancy J. Brzostek in 2014.
David is survived by three step-daughters, Julie Costa of Liverpool, Jennifer (Brian) Niezabytowski of Cicero, and Jodie (Tim Mack) Costa of Syracuse; his beloved grandson, Connor Niezabytowski; his sister, Margie Brzostek; and his dog Sydney.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of David’s life at 10:00 am in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s name may be made to a favorite charity of choice.
