David K. Chase's Obituary
David K. Chase, 74, of North Syracuse, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Florence, SC, son of Ralph and Jane (Holt) Chase. David’s parents died when he was a child and he was raised by his uncle, Rush Holt, Sr. and his aunt, Helen Holt. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1964. David lived in Moira, NY and was a teacher at Brushton-Moira Central School District for 30 years where he taught Industrial Arts. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing.
David is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia (Marshall) Chase; his daughters, Kristine (Christopher) Rooney and Kimberly (John) Klaisle; two grandsons, Nolan and Thomas Rooney; his brother, Rush Holt, Jr. and wife, Annie Lancefield.
Calling hours will be held from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm on Friday, February 26, 2016, followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of David’s life at 1:00 pm in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.
