David B. "Glue" Gladue's Obituary
David B. “Glue” Gladue, 64, of Liverpool, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on December 18, 2019. He was born in Bristol, RI, and graduated from Mount Assumption Institute, Clinton Community College and Plattsburgh State. Glue worked at New York Telephone, and retired from Verizon in 2010. He enjoyed watching SU football, basketball and lacrosse; he also enjoyed golfing, playing guitar and cards, and going out with friends to events. Glue had a very wonderful, wacky sense of humor and loved to do impressions of anything that struck his fancy. Once, while in Washington D.C., he noticed a Mr. Wu vendor; after that he would tell jokes such as: Baseball has it all wrong, a man with 4 balls cannot walk.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Wilfred and Marie Gladue; Frank and Evelyn Remieres.
David is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Kopec) Gladue; his daughter, Valerie L. Micale; his parents, Gene and Barbara Gladue; siblings, Paul (Denise) Gladue; Barbara (Robert) Landry; Karen (David) Wachs, Gene Gladue, and Shannon Gladue, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
David’s family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Night Emergency Room Staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital; NOVA, Moyers Corners Fire Department; Onondaga Sheriff's Department, with special thanks to Cody Skinner.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 1-3 pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of David’s life at 3 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 23, 2019 in North Syracuse Cemetery.
