Hank Berkowitz
Dear Brigid and the Kammer family:
So sorry for your loss. Dave was a fantastic roommate when we lived off campus in the modular units at Bucknell university. He was always cheerful, even during the dreary central Pennsylvania winters. He picked us all up when we had struggles with school, relationships, athletics, family and other things.
He never met a prank he didn’t like but was always the voice of reason when it looked like our collegiate shenanigans might be going too far off the rails. We were four guys with different majors, different class years, different hometowns and different religious beliefs, but Dave was an integral part of the glue that held us together so well.
I also remember Dave being a great father to our adopted cat “Ace.” It was never too cold, windy or snowy for Dave to go out and explore the outdoors—or to take Ace out for a meet and greet somewhere else on campus.
Steve Craig ’83 and I will miss Dave greatly and I'm sure our 4th roommate, the late Mike Mooney, is thinking of Dave as well somehow. We are praying for you during this trying time.
Best,
Hank Berkowitz Bucknell ‘84
