David J. Lizzio's Obituary
David J. Lizzio, 62, of Constantia, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday. He was born in Syracuse and graduated from Liverpool High School in 1970. David retired from the Onondaga County Drainage and Sanitation Department as a supervisor in 2009, where he worked for 37 years. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and also enjoyed watching baseball and football.
He was predeceased by his mother, Jennie Rossi Lizzio on September 3, 2003. David is survived by his father, Anthony Lizzio, Jr., of Liverpool; a sister, Joanne (George) Hasto of North Syracuse; brothers, Anthony (Leah) Lizzio of Fayetteville, Michael (Denise) Lizzio of Liverpool, John (Debbie) Lizzio of North Carolina, and James Lizzio of Spafford, NY along with several nieces, nephews and his dearest friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8:30 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
