David Michael Petragnani's Obituary
David Michael Petragnani loving son, grandson, brother and uncle of Syracuse passed away peacefully at his home on October 10, 2021. He was born in Syracuse and graduated from Bishop Grimes High School and attended Onondaga Community College.
David had incredible talents in business, directing, producing and cooking. For most of his working life, he was self-employed having owned Nomad Film Group and was very proud of the many short films and videos he produced. He was also a free-lance photographer, owned and managed modeling agencies and a coffee house. However, David’s greatest gifts were his uncanny and timely ability to make people laugh and generosity of his time, talent and treasure to all he encountered.
He was predeceased by his father, Phil Petragnani; his grandparents Al & Anne Petragnani and Pat & Anne ‘Mema’ Falvo; his uncle Dr. John Blasi; cousin Robert Blasi.
He is survived by his mother Anne (Falvo) Petragnani Wieland; two brothers Darren and Dennis Petragnani; his nephew Joshua & niece Ashley; aunts and uncles Pam & Gerry Petragnani, Marietta Blasi, Patty & Ed Long and several cousins and his beloved dog, Sonny.
A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of David Michael’s life will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter’s Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s name may be made to Make-A-Wish of Central New York, 5005 Campuswood Drive, East Syracuse NY 13057.
