Deborah Ann Cole's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Debbie Cole, 71, of Clay, NY, on February 24, 2025, affectionately known as Nana. Born on July 13, 1953, in Framingham, MA, Debbie was the daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy Loker.
Debbie was a beloved wife to her husband, John Cole for 53 wonderful years, and a devoted mother to her three children: David Cole (Jennifer), Kelly Henning (Bob) and Bobby Cole (Bethany). She took great joy in being “Nana” to her “great eight”: Abigail, Kendal, Bradley, Gracie, Cole, Oliver, Emersyn, and Benjamin. She had a special bond with her grandchildren, always attending their sporting and musical events. Her love for her family was the cornerstone of our lives.
Debbie is also survived by her sister, Donna Jachowicz (Crispin), sister-in-law, Jane Wyman (Pete), and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Debbie was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Bobby Cole, sister-in-law, Margie Beaudry, brother-in-law, Joe Beaudry, and niece, Susan Beaudry.
Debbie grew up in Framingham, attending Framingham South High School, where she was surrounded by many, many friends. She met her husband, John, the love of her life at age 14. John’s career in the navy took her to many places including Connecticut, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Idaho. Debbie was the backbone of every move, fully supporting her husband and children.
Debbie’s stature was small, at a petite 4’8”, but her heart and impact were larger than life. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, spending time with her grandkids, teaching them all to be kind. Throughout her life, Debbie was known for her warm heart, unwavering kindness, and selfless spirit. She touched the lives of many with her compassion and generosity, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Friends and family may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME at 3401 Vickery Road, (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY 13212 on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. A funeral service in celebration of Debbie’s life will begin at 11:00 am.
