Life in the newsroom was always brighter when Dexter was present.His vocal impression of the L.I.R.R, conductor's stations call brought a smile,every time.When a fire call was sounded, Dexter would be out the door in a flash and we kidded that when the FF's arrived on scene, Dexter would be waiting for them..camera in hand.....My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I'm glad I had the pleasure of working with him.
Dexter was one of those guys who took pride in everything he did and it showed. He was excellent at everything he did whether it was producing, shooting, reporting. Or representing his fellow employees as President of NABET Local 211.He could always be counted on for a laugh and his iconic phrase “it’s a beam-u!”
Dexter was known for his distinctive voice and personality.
Dexter was likely one of the best Presidents, The Local has ever had.
I was privileged to know Dexter as a friend, a co-worker at Channel 9 and a fellow union member. He was a faithful friend and union brother. God Bless Dexter, Phil and the boys. Rest In Peace my friend, it was an honor knowing you.

So sorry to read about Dexters passing. I remember years ago when you guys got married a while ago and seeing him in my job with the county around town. His smile & wit were super and he had a comback for everything said to him. He was one of the better people that I knew in the media.
