Dianne L. (Marra) Fortino's Obituary
Dianne L. (Marra) Fortino, 76, of Cicero, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital with her daughter and son-in-law at her side. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (DeSilvia) Marra. Dianne was a Bookkeeper for C & J’s Northside Pharmacy for many years.
Dianne never slowed down. She always wanted to make the most of every day.
Her grandchildren were the center of her universe, the light of her life. She had a very close and special bond with each of them. She was always there to see her Joey up on stage, her “T” out there on the field or in the gym, and her little Bug on the soccer field. She loved them fiercely.
She enjoyed spending time with her sister and loved to get together with family. She also loved going on girls’ trips with her closest friends. If she wasn’t out and about you could find her at home with her favorite grandpup, Dunkin, cheering on her Buffalo Bills, NY Yankees and Syracuse Orange!
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Frank E. Fortino in 2017, her sister, Patricia Merrow and a nephew, Samuel A. Piazza, Jr.
Dianne is survived by her daughter, Michelle Fortino Calveric (Cory Sullivan); three grandchildren, Joseph Gregory Calveric, Thea Frances Calveric and Maxim Alexander Stefanovich; a step grandchild, Anakin Sullivan; her sister, Mary M. Piazza; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 9:30 am – 11:30 am, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Dianne’s life at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
