Dinah (Wise) Gancarz's Obituary
Dinah (Wise) Gancarz, 71, of Phoenix, NY, passed away Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Truman and Lovina (Taylor) Wise. Dinah was a self-employed hairdresser for 30 years and worked for various salons. She was an animal lover and adored her two cats, “Danny” and Teddy Bear”.
Dinah is survived by her son, Todd D. (Tina) Gancarz of Cicero; her grandson, Kyle Anthony Gancarz; her loving companion, Scott Smith of Phoenix, NY; two brothers, Mark Evans of Florida and Paul (Barbara) Wise of Illinois, along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in celebration of Dinah’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 6:30 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:30 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Howlett Hill Cemetery, Syracuse.
