Dolores A. (Toscano) Antonacci's Obituary
Dolores (Toscano) Antonacci, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the age of 83. She was born in Syracuse, after graduating from Assumption High School; Dolores went to work for General Electric. She then spent the majority of her life raising her family, and in later years, went back to work at the Syracuse City School District. Dolores was a devoted and long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Pompei Church. Dolores lived life to the fullest with her husband Jim who was always by her side. Dolores cherished nothing more than her family and friends as evident by the countless hours spent entertaining around her dining room table throughout the years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Rose (Maselli) Toscano; two brothers, Louis (Rega) Toscano and Anthony (Rose) Toscano.
Dolores is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, James N. Antonacci Sr.; two sons, John (JoAnne) Antonacci and James N. Antonacci, Jr. (Cathy Pietrafesa); six grandchildren, Michael (Brittany) Antonacci, Jolynn Antonacci, Joseph Antonacci, Jenna Antonacci, James Antonacci, and Alyse Knight (Scott); two great-grandchildren, Tommy and Rachel, along with many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Dolores’ life at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4 – 7 pm on Friday, July 28, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
