Dolores M. Carella's Obituary
Dolores M. Carella, 87, of North Syracuse, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Joseph and Angela (Cerio) Carella. Dolores worked as a Customer Service Representative at Blue Cross Blue Shield, retiring after over 20 years of dedicated service. She was an avid SU sports and NY Yankees fan. Dolores loved spending time with family and friends; she especially cherished her children and all her beloved grandchildren. Dolores will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her grandson, David Gajewski and her sister, Antoinette Barber.
Dolores is survived by three sons, Steven (Mary) Gajewski, Gary (Mary) Gajewski of Rochester, WA, and Paul (Yvonne) Gajewski of Gulfport, MS; her daughter, Carol (Richard) Armelino; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosemary (Albert) Pisegna and Anne DeJulio; one brother, Joseph Carella; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip St., Liverpool, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Dolores’ life at noon.
