Dolores J. Foley's Obituary
Dolores J. (Sedor) Foley, 74, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of Cazenovia High School and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. Dolores was a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital for over 40 years. She was an avid NY Yankees fan, SU football and basketball fan and enjoyed attending sporting events. Dolores loved traveling with family and friends and went on 25 cruises throughout her life. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her father, Michael Sedor and her son, Brian Foley.
Dolores is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Robert R. Foley; three sons, Mark (Deirdre O’Hara) Foley of Jacksonville, FL, Michael (Deborah) Foley of Liverpool and Steven (Sarah) Foley of Camillus; her daughter, Sara (John) LaValle of Warners, NY; nine grandchildren, Brian, Joshua, Joseph, Lauren, Alexandra, Ashley, Justin, Madison and Ryan; her brother, Robert Sedor of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Ann Sedor of Annapolis, MD, along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Dolores’ life at 10:00 am in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
