Dolores Malgieri's Obituary
Dolores Johane Malgieri, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 82 on January 31, 2021.
Dolores was born January 22, 1939 in Syracuse, NY. She is survived by her three children, Maria Stashak (Robert) of Sebastopol, CA, her son Steven Wolf (Patty) of Syracuse, and son Gregory Wolf (Amy) of Winnetka, CA. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Lewis Malgieri (Kathy) of Camillus, NY. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Dr. Anna-Bianca Stashak-Buck (Christopher) of Johnson City, TN, Serena Catherine Stashak, also of Johnson City, TN, Stephanie Hallinan-Wolf of Hampton Bay, NY, Reilly Samantha Wolf of Liverpool, NY, Meghan MacBlane, also of Liverpool, NY, Daniel MacBlane of Chesapeake, VA and Lauren Seghesio Stashak of Santa Rosa, CA. She leaves behind her four great-granddaughters, Maria Valeska Buck, and Ava Vivienne Buck of Johnson City, TN, Maggie MacBlane of Liverpool, NY and Anna MacBlane of Chesapeake, VA.
Dolores was a graduate of the Convent School, Syracuse, NY, Class of 1957. She also attended Santa Rosa Junior College where she studied Elder Care and psychology.
She was passionate about her Catholic faith, was a Eucharistic Minister, and enjoyed classical music, dancing, old movies, and thrift store shopping. She was known for her lovely smile and life-long devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and Sacred Heart of Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Severino and Mary Malgieri of Syracuse, NY and her brother, Antonio Malgieri of Cotati, CA and her former husband, James L. Wolf. She also leaves behind her favorite sister-in-law, Mary Wolf of Jackson, WI; several nieces, nephews, and friends, along with former coworkers from the Redwood Oil Company where she worked for many years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in early spring at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Syracuse, NY, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse NY.
