Dolores J. (Zaccanelli) Spinoso's Obituary
Dolores J. (Zaccanelli) Spinoso, 74, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at the Highland House on Thursday, January 29, 2015.
She was born in Syracuse and was a loving mother, sister and friend to all. Dolores worked for many years in the family business, Charles Signs. She was very active and a devoted member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool. Dolores was a Lecturer, Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Altar Rosary Society and attended Mass daily. She was also a volunteer at the Frances House.
She enjoyed going to the casino and various restaurants, but most of all spending time with her family. Dolores was always happy and had a smile on her face to everyone she met. She was pure joy and a beautiful soul.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jennie (Ilacqua) and Frank Zaccanelli, and her brother, Dominick Zaccanelli.
Dolores is survived by her two daughters, Doreen Piazza of Pompano Beach, FL and Linda (James) Hickey of Baldwinsville, NY; grandchildren, Joshua Piazza, Justin Piazza, Nina Hickey and Ayden Hickey; her sister, Mary (Salvatore) Phillips of Liverpool, several nieces and nephews, and her former husband, Charles J. Spinoso.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Dolores’ life at 10:00 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
