Domenic Bove's Obituary
Domenic Bove, 70, of Solvay, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on January 11, 2016. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born in Maddaloni, Italy, he was the son of late Antonio and Angela Bove.
Domenic came to America in 1966 in pursuit of the American Dream. He was a welder by trade and was employed by Allied Chemical for many years. On February 4, 1967, he married Patricia Cottzolla and was blessed with two devoted sons. Patti and Dom enjoyed traveling and spending the winters in Florida. Domenic was an outdoorsman who truly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also spent much of his time gardening, making homemade wine, painting, and puttering around his greenhouse.
Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Family was the center of his life, and it was those times around the Sunday dinner table that he cherished the most.
Domenic is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia (Cottzolla) Bove; his children, Anthony (Donna) Bove of Camillus and Nicholas (Lori) Bove of Camillus; five grandchildren, Anthony, Carla, Victoria, Nicholas, and Maria Bove; five brothers and two sisters of Maddaloni, Italy, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
