Domenica "Minnie" Barbagallo's Obituary
Domenica "Minnie" Barbagallo, 94, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Spina) Zappala. Minnie ran Barbagallo's Farm Stand for over 60 years and enjoyed helping her customers. She was a devout Catholic and belonged to the Altar Rosary Society at Blessed Sacrament Church. Minnie loved cooking and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Barbagallo in 2003 and her daughter, Concetta Catalano in 2012.
Minnie is survived by four daughters, Mary C. Seabrook, Antoinette Barbagallo, Rose Musumeci and Lucy (Wally) Bohl; four sons, Angelo Barbagallo, Alfred (Kathy) Barbagallo, Peter (Michele) Barbagallo and Paul Barbagallo; 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 7:30 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 8:30 am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, Dewitt. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
