Domenica Mento's Obituary
Domenica Mento, 88 born on November 5, 1923 in Spadafora, Sicily passed away Friday morning April 20th as she slept peacefully at Loretto Health and Rehab Center. Domenica came to the US in 1955 with her husband Antonio. They were married for 60 loving years. The couple had two sons, Joseph and Biaggio. Domenica was preceded in death by her husband in 2006 and her son Joseph in 2007. Domenica was a seamstress at the men’s suit factory, Learbury’s on Salina Street, where she worked for 25 years before retiring in 1980. Domenica loved spending time with her family travelling to Florida after she retired. She dedicated her life to her loving and loyal family. Domenica was one of five children, all coming to the US from Sicily after WWII. She is survived by her son Biaggio in Florida. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 9:00 AM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 VICKERY RD. (CORNER OF BUCKLEY). Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Rev. John Ahern will be officiating.
