Dominic P. D'Amico's Obituary
Dominic P. D’Amico, 101, passed away on October 25, 2019 at Fieldstone Assisted Living in Tecumseh, MI. He was born in Syracuse on May 25, 1918 to the late Nicholas and Elvera (DeRegis) D’Amico. Dominic served as a staff sergeant in the US Army during WWII and was active in hunting, fishing and golfing, especially with his family and friends.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Susan (Campanello) in 2009 and his granddaughter, Cynthia D’Amico Schott in 2019.
Dominic is survived by his sons, Richard (Debbie) D’Amico and Robert (Christine) D’Amico; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Dominic’s life at 1:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.), N. Syracuse. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
