Dominic D. Lembo's Obituary
Dominic D. Lembo, 75, of North Syracuse, passed away Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Syracuse and was a U.S. Army veteran. Dominic was a District Sales Manager with Stroehmann Bakery for over 30 years, retiring in 2001. He also volunteered at Meals on Wheels for a few years after his retirement. Dominic was an avid bowler and also enjoyed fishing. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
He was predeceased by his parents, Donato and Carmella (Scordo) Lembo and his two brothers, Michael Lembo and Rev. Philip Lembo. Dominic is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gerloma "Gerry" (Sansone) Lembo; his two daughters, Valerie (Joseph) Picciano of Liverpool and Christine Lopedito of Syracuse; his son, Dominic D. (Colleen Sullivan) Lembo II of West Monroe, NY; seven grandchildren, Angela (Shaun) Lobdell, Joseph Picciano III, Michael Lopedito, Chelsea Lopedito, Reilly Rae Lembo, Jesse Lembo and Brodie Lembo; a great-granddaughter, Liliana Lobdell; three brothers, Peter (Dolores) Lembo, Daniel Lembo and John (Susie) Lembo; a sister, Anna (Robert) Galer; sister-in-law, June Lembo along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:45 pm followed by a funeral service in celebration of Dominic's life at 7:00 pm.
