Dominic J. "Mickey" Quattrone's Obituary
Dominic John “Mickey” Quattrone, 69, of East Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020. Mickey was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy where he played football and ran track. He earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Leo University and retired from the Fisher Body division of General Motors. Mickey coached and mentored Pop Warner football for Sherman Park and loved Syracuse football and basketball, where he was a longtime season ticket holder. He enjoyed the simple things in life like playing his Martin guitar or a good steak and a cold beer followed by a great cigar. Above all, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, especially watching his grandson Gabe play football.
Mickey is predeceased by his parents, Philip and Angeline Quattrone.
He survived by his three children, Erin (Scott) Rawlins, of Liverpool, Angeline (Brian) Schaefer, of Chittenango, and Philip Quattrone of North Syracuse; nine grandchildren, Halie, Seth, Gabriel, Sophia, Jayden, Mekayla, Dominique, Savanah and Grayson; brothers, John (Cathy) Quattrone, of Jackson, MI, Phil (Judd) Quattrone, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Frank Quattrone, of Buffalo, NY and Ben (Dawn) Quattrone, of Champaign, IL; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will be conducting a celebration of life service at a later date.
