Dr. Dominick J. Ascioti's Obituary
Dr. Dominick J. Ascioti, 92, passed away on Wednesday at Marliere Hospice Care Center at New Port Richey FL. Born in Solvay, the son of Antonio & Catherine Ascioti he attended Syracuse University graduating in 1942 and the University of Buffalo Dental School graduating in 1946. Joseph also attained the rank of Captain in the Army serving in Tokyo, Japan after WWII. Dr. Ascioti's dental practice spanned 57 years in the Syracuse area before relocating to New Port Richey in 2007. Dominick was a member of the 5th District Dental Society of New York for many years and an avid golfer. In earlier years he was a fan of the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years Irene (Farrido) Ascioti in 2007. Dominick is survived by his 3 sons; Marc (Dawn) Ascioti of Liverpool, NY; Paul (Jenny) Ascioti of Parrish, FL.; Peter (Kristin) Ascioti, of Solvay, NY and his daughter Dominique (William) Platou, of New Port Richey, FL. 4 grandchildren; Marc Ascioti, Marissa Ascioti, Natalie Marie Ascioti & Julian Luca Ascioti, one great grand child; Antonella Ascioti. Sisters; Lucretia Quattrone, Frances Quattrone, Philomena Ascioti & Rose Spagnoletti of Solvay NY; Brother in Law and Sisters in law: Edward & Patricia Warne of Manlius, NY & Kathleen Agen of Syracuse, NY. also several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Dr. John Ibrahim of New Port Richey, FL. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the HPH Hospice Foundation, Donation Department, 12107 Majestic Blvd. Hudson. FL 34667-2455. Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Cecelia's Church, Solvay N.Y. Burial will follow in the Onondaga Veterans Memorial Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
