Donald "Dan" Blok's Obituary
Donald “Dan” Blok, 62, of The Villages, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Dan was born in Syracuse to the late Ryszard and Anna Marie (Sardella) Blok and graduated from Henninger High School in 1981. He was a tobacco sales representative for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and previously Conwood Sales Co. Dan enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer; the past 9 years he spent enjoying his retirement and golfing in The Villages, FL. He also loved watching S.U. football and basketball as well as his beloved N.E. Patriots.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his grandmother, Elizabeth (Petrocci) Sardella, his beloved uncle, Nicholas Sardella, his nephew, Christopher Blok, and his good friend and best man, Michael Wirtanen.
Dan is survived by his wife, Carmalee (Churchill) Blok; his daughters, Justin Kristine (John Woodward) Blok and Jessica Ann (Matthew) Grant; his grandson, Axel Woodward; his siblings, Richard (Rosemarie) Blok and Susan Hubbell; his special niece and nephew, Chrystina (Michael) Nicolette and Clinton Hill; his great-nieces, Amaya and Kaylor Nicolette; along with many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the wonderful and hard-working staff at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. A funeral service in celebration of Dan’s life will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
