Donald L. Fortino, Sr.'s Obituary
Donald L. Fortino, Sr., 72, of Hastings, NY, passed away at home on Saturday, June 14, 2014. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late John A. and Lena (Luckette) Fortino. Donald had a very good sense of humor and was a great husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and 4 brothers, Thomas, Robert, Ronald and Matthew Fortino. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda L. (Woolman) Fortino; 6 children, Donald (Ruth) Fortino, Jr. Mark (Regina) Fortino; Robert (Jenel) Fortino; Kenneth (Kara) Fortino; Lynnett (Darren) Fangiullos, and Ronald Fortino; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 brothers, John D. Fortino, Sr. and Darrell D. (Patty) Fortino, Sr., 3 sisters, Joan Saya, Linda Hatter and Darlene Burke; 3 sisters-in-law, Sally, Valerie and Bertha Fortino, along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in celebration of Donald’s life will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
