Donald W. Gray's Obituary
Donald W. Gray, 90, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday at the VA Medical Center. He was born in Buffalo and raised in Cleveland, OH where he was a Boy Scout and achieved Eagle Scout Status. Donald enlisted with the U.S. Army a day after his high school graduation. He served with the 736th Tank Battalion, known as the "Kid Battalion" at Fort Rucker. After the war, Donald settled in Buffalo and began his career at Ford Motor Company for 39 years, retiring in 1991.
He was predeceased by his parents, William S. and Hazel Ann (Kester) Gray. Donald is survived by his daughter, Debra L. Gallagher of Liverpool and his son, Dean A. Gray of Lancaster, NY; his grandson, James R. (Allison) Gallagher III of Syracuse; two great-grandchildren, Cayden and Kylee; a niece and two nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Batavia, NY at a later date. THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME is in charge of local arrangements.
