Donald "John" Trudell's Obituary
Donald "John" Trudell, 68, of North Syracuse, passed away Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family. Don was born in Massena, New York and worked as a feeder driver for UPS for 25 years before retiring in 1995. Don also served as a Union steward for Local 317 Teamsters. Don served as a staff sergeant for the 174th as a re-fueler. Don especially liked watching professional boxing and Indy-style racing on television.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Paula J. (Murphy) Trudell; 2 daughters, Natalie Kelly and Theresa (Doug) Lewis, both of Syracuse; grandson, Shane Kelly of Syracuse; his sister, Brenda Phillips of Las Vegas; brother, Ray Trudell of Syracuse; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and in laws, Richard and Norma Murphy, and Robert and Chong Murphy, both of Florida.
Don's family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional care that CNY Hospice provided during the last weeks of Don's life.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Moravia, NY at the convenience of his family.
