Donato "Danny" Callisto's Obituary
Donato “Danny” Callisto, 89, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at The Cottages surrounded by his loving family on February 4, 2020. He was born in Molinara, Italy, son of the late Giuseppe and Marianna (Carapella) Callisto. Danny came to America at the age of 17 and served in the U.S. Army. He was a co-owner with his brother-in-law Tony Chiaravalloti of a family restaurant, The Bamboo Room. He later retired from Carrier Corp. after many years of service. Danny enjoyed playing musical instruments and loved dancing. He also loved tending to his garden and spending time with family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife, Immacolata (Fragnito) Callisto, and sisters, Norina Anzovino and Lucy Chiaravalloti.
Danny is survived by his son, Joe (Nancy) Callisto; his daughter, Marianna (Craig) Schuelke; two grandchildren, Jessica and Daniel Callisto; a sister, Filomena Borillo of Italy; brother-in-law, Anthony Chiaravalloti; sisters-in-law, Josephine Cirocco and Margaret Ann Fragnito, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Danny’s life at 9:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Entombment will take place at Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum, Baldwinsville. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, February 7, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
