Donna L. Johnson's Obituary
Donna L. (Messina) Johnson, 64, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at Crouse Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. She was born in Syracuse, and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1971. Donna worked at MONY for several years and later at Syracuse University. She was a meticulous organizer and often helped her family stay organized. Donna enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her father, Carmen S. Messina.
Donna is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tom Johnson; her mother, Louise J. (Capparelli) Messina; three sons, David (Lisa) Johnson, Andrew Johnson and Travis Johnson; two grandchildren, Jack and Claire; one sister, Diane C. Spaulding; one brother, Joseph C. Messina; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 12 pm (noon) on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, May 21, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
