Dorotha M. "Honey" Martin's Obituary
Dorotha M. "Honey" Martin, 87, of Liverpool, passed away Monday at Birchwood Nursing Home. She was born in Findlay, Ohio and resided in the Syracuse area since 1974. Dorotha attended Crofts College in Ohio. She was the head of human resources and secretary of the corporation for Excelsior Insurance and also worked for SUNY Binghamton, Goodyear Corporate offices and Gaylord Brothers.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Forrest Martin and William Burke. Dorotha is survived by her daughter, Deborah Bowerman (George Brodeur) of Liverpool; six grandchildren, Jonathan Bowerman, Jennifer (Thomas) Gabriel, Christina Craven-Bowerman, Christine (Scott) Wickham, Susanne Brodeur and Theresa Brodeur; four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Timothy and Tommy.
A funeral service in celebration of Dorotha's life will be held on Thursday at noon in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
