Dorothy Anne (Capels) Zaborowski's Obituary
Dorothy Anne (Capels) Zaborowski, 82, of Syracuse, affectionately called “Honey” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, passed away peacefully at home on November 4, 2023.
She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Capels. Honey was a school bus driver for the West Genesee School District for many years.
She loved to thrift shop, go to casinos, and listen to the crazy stories her grandchildren would tell her. Honey was very generous, always willing to help financially, emotionally, or just give you her car if needed. She loved to travel to wherever her grandchildren lived. Honey will be truly missed and was the “Queen Honeybee.”
Honey is survived by two daughters, Dawn Fremont (Mark Statton) and Shelly Mills (Thomas Sandstrom); grandchildren, Chelsea Fremont (Kyle Sears,) Kendall and Keegan Sears, Tyler and Anita Mills, Brady and Kristen Fremont, Shae and Nicholas Smith; great grandchildren, Avery Mills-Montanya, Carter J. Smith, and Summer Honey Sears; her close friends, Jennifer Stairs, Joy Miller, and the 3 Thrall girls.
Many thanks to Dr. Kligerman’s office, especially Barbara Annem. Their kindness and compassion helped Honey and her family throughout this emotional event.
A Celebration of Honey’s life for friends and family members to be announced at a later date.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME.
