Dorothy J. "Dor" (Ware) Marzullo's Obituary
Dorothy J. “Dor” Marzullo, 90, of Cicero, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2022 at The Cottages at Garden Grove in Cicero. She was a life resident of the Syracuse area and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church of Cicero. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker. She loved going to sports events to watch her grandchildren's games, traveling to Wildwood NJ, cooking for the family and was a very Big SU and Yankee fan who knew all the players by name. But most of all just loved being around her family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Michael Marzullo in 2016; her parents, Donald and Leta Ware; sisters, Donna and Shirley, a brother Skip, and a dear friend, Dorothy Spinella.
Surviving are her four sons, Michael (Cheryl) Marzullo, Jr. of Amsterdam, NY, Ralph (Vicky) Marzullo of Cicero, Mark Marzullo of Cicero, and David Marzullo of Cicero; daughters-in-law, Nancy Marzullo of Cicero and Melissa Marzullo of Cicero; 6 grandchildren, Joseph (Lindsay), Nicholas, Michael (Stacey), Jennifer (Adam), Michele (Dan), and Mark; 12 great grandchildren, Frankie, Giada, Nina, Mickie, Sal, Juliana, Ameila, Layla, Kylie, Adalyn, Mateo and Rya; a sister-in-law, Irene Marzullo, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 9:00 – 10:00 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Dorothy’s life at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Church of Cicero. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt, NY.
