Douglas E. "Doug" Swiatlowski's Obituary
Douglas E. “Doug” Swiatlowski, 56, of Liverpool, NY, passed away January 10, 2024, in Lakewood, NJ. He was born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late Edward and Nancy (Matkowsky) Swiatlowski. Doug received his master’s degree in electrical engineering and worked as a Software Engineer at (SRC) Syracuse Research Corp. He was an ultra-marathon runner; he ran 7 marathons, and several 30k races. He also enjoyed mountain biking and going to Boston Celtics basketball games with his son Ethan. Doug absolutely loved his morning coffee outings with his late wife and father.
In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his wife, Lisa Marie (Iacobucci) Swiatlowski in 2019, and his brother, David “Dave” Swiatlowski in 2018.
Doug is survived by his son, Ethan Swiatlowski; his mother and father-in-law, Paul and Yvonne Iacobucci; his sister-in-law, Christine Swiatlowski; his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Melissa Iacobucci; his niece, Zena Swiatlowski; his nephew, Paul Iacobucci, and Jack the cat.
A memorial service in celebration of Doug’s life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt, NY.
