I knew Earl while attending Liverpool High, but when I moved into the Galeville neighborhood we became good friends. I have nothing, but sincerely fond memories of Earl with several great stories that will be with me for a lifetime and beyond. One recollection I have is when Earl, Rue Larkin, myself and 4 others hitched hiked to the Adirondacks. Love ya Earl and thanks for the kindness you showed me in life. My heart breaks for the Milea family. With Earl's passing, it is yet another tragic heartache for my close friends. I grew up across the street from the Milea's & they were the coolest big family. Earl was the youngest & Ruthey was the only girl with four brothers. Earl learned things from all the three older brothers, good & bad. He ran wide open. Their dad was scary tough. If you broke the rules, he broke you. Nick was the coolest with his chopper motorcycle. He was always beating on Frank. That's where Frank got all his speed. His long legs carried him fast. Brother Guy did his own thing & I wish he was still with us to see how far we have come as a country. I can't imagine losing three brothers and your dad too. Mrs. Milea is a beautiful mom, inside & out. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about the pain in her heart. In closing, when you greet the Milea family, please hold them extra tight. They need our love more than you can imagine.
