Edith Basile's Obituary
Edith Basile, 87, of Syracuse passed away on Friday at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Syracuse and worked for Avon for 25 years, retiring as a District Manager. Edith was extremely involved and had a strong presence in the local theater community and loved all theater and theater people. She was predeceased by her sister, Olga Pierce in 2009. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gaetano L. Basile of Syracuse; a son, Gary M. Basile of Syracuse; 2 daughters, Kathleen Basile (Manfred) Doell of Norfolk, VA and Susan A. Basile of DeWitt; a brother, Rev. Joseph Conti of Syracuse. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 8:00 AM in the Family Funeral Chapel and 9:00 AM in St. John the Baptist Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd., corner of Buckley Rd., N. Syracuse Monday from 4 to 7 PM.
