Edith B. (Wilson) Fortino's Obituary
Edith B. (Wilson) Fortino, 81, of Syracuse, passed away on September 20, 2019 at the Bishop Nursing and Rehabilitation. A lifelong resident of Syracuse, Edith was born to the late Floyd and Margaret Wilson. She was a homemaker her whole life, devoting all her time to caring for her family. Edith also enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and spending time at Vernon Downs.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Fortino, Sr. in 2017; a sister, Arlene Pike; brothers, Floyd, Arthur, Charles, George, and Robert Wilson.
Edith is survived by her two sons, Charles E. (Renee) Fortino, Jr. and Joseph M. (Norma Jean) Fortino, both of Liverpool; two grandsons, Steven and Andrew Fortino; a sister, Margaret Wilson; along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Edith’s life at 2:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
