Edward A. Wilson, Jr.'s Obituary
Edward A. Wilson, Jr., 63, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Syracuse and served with the U.S. Army. Edward was employed as Head Custodian in the Syracuse City School District for 32 years. He loved music, cars, watching the NY Yankees, gardening and family cookouts. Most of all, Edward loved spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mary A. (Bishop) and Edward A. Wilson, Sr., and his sister, Shelly Robinson.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Grace (Fortino) Wilson; four sons, Edward A. Wilson III, Michael (Jody) Wilson, Gregory Wilson, and Steven Wilson; two grandchildren, Domenica and Edward A. Wilson IV; his mother-in-law, Concetta Fortino; his brother-in-law, Patrick Fortino; his step-sister, Mary Easter, and two nieces.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Edward’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
