Eleanor B. Creatore's Obituary
Eleanor Bertha (Brewer) Creatore, 90, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Eleanor was born December 11, 1921 in Syracuse, NY to Fredrick and Elizabeth (Schaffranski) Brewer.
A life resident of Syracuse, she attended North High School. Eleanor worked at Will & Baumer Candle Company before marrying Michael V. Creatore on December 2, 1941. She enjoyed the outdoors with her husband and became an avid fisherwoman before it was fashionable. She was also employed by the Syracuse City School District, retiring in 1986.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael V. Creatore in 1976; brothers, George and Harold; sisters, Viola Sterns and Irma Swift.
Eleanor is survived by two sons, Jack M. (Judith) Creatore of N. Syracuse and Gary W. (Kimberly) Creatore of Syracuse; granddaughters, Tammy Ciamarro, Dawn Lanning & Carla Henry; 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; sister-in-law, Sue Brewer; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff on 6B of SUNY Upstate Hospital for the care and compassion they provided during her illness.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 300 Burt Street, Syracuse, NY 13202.
