Eleanor C. Morelli's Obituary
Eleanor C. (Musaio) Morelli, 80, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was a life-long resident of Syracuse, a graduate of North High School, member of the St. Therese Society at Our Lady of Pompei Church and a communicant of St. Daniel's Church. Eleanor retired from NewChannels Cable after 15 years of service. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother and an exceptional cook. Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at their camp on Oneida Lake, playing golf and cards and vacationing with her husband in Florida. Her favorite pastime and joy was cooking for her family; Sundays, the family would gather around the dining room table, eat and enjoy stories. She was predeceased by her son, Louis Morelli; her parents, Louis and Josephine Musaio and her brother, Paul Musaio. Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Samuel; her children, Peter (Diane) Morelli of Endwell, N.Y., Doreen (Pat) Henson of Liverpool, Samuel Morelli Jr. of Syracuse, Joanne (Joe) Corasaniti of North Syracuse and Michael (Mary Anne) Morelli of Thousand Oaks, CA; grandchildren, Peter and David Morelli, Christopher and Katie Henson and Cara, Peter and Ashley Corasaniti; a sister, Carm (Paul) Mayer; dear friend, Antoinette Campolito; a niece and several cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 am in St. Daniel's Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Daniel's Church, 3004 Court St., Syracuse, NY 13208. We want to express our gratitude to the many family and friends for their love and support during the last few years, the cards and calls meant a lot to our mother as they did to us.
