Eleanor F. Morris-Salerno's Obituary
Eleanor F. Morris-Salerno, 56, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and her beloved kitties on Wednesday.
Ellie was born and raised on the North Side of Syracuse and moved to the Lyncourt area. Ellie was known for her delicious Italian cookies that she made for her family and friends. She also loved baking cupcakes for her "Family" at Rite-Aid. Ellie loved to go to the former Tri-State Auto Auction, were she helped her brothers with the car business.
Ellie was diagnosed with Cancer about a year ago and fought vigilantly to try to beat this disease with the help from the Regional Oncology Center at University Hospital, and in the end died on her terms with the help from Hospice of CNY.
Ellie was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Laura (Calcagnino) Morris and her great-niece, Sheena Morris.
Ellie is survived by her loving daughter, Nicole Bulmer, who she loved to brag about given any occasion. Nicole recently became engaged to Kevin Lucak. She is also survived by three brothers, Edward (Rosie) Morris of Syracuse, Robert (Sheila) Morris of Clay and Richard (Terri) Morris of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 10:30 AM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Friday from 4 to 7 PM.
