Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Ruscitto) Bill's Obituary
Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Ruscitto) Bill, 89, of Endicott, NY, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 14, 2022. Born in Erie, PA on March 11, 1933, to Frank and Concetta (Canavino) Ruscitto. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Leon J. Bill in 2016; her great grandchild, Maeve Moore in 2021; her brother, Joe Ruscitto, and sister-in-law, Anne Ruscitto. She is survived by her seven children, Rosemary (Kevin) Fleury, David (Denise) Bill, Kathleen (Carmen) Greco, Ronald (Paula) Bill, Lee (Joanne) Bill, Steven (Diane) Bill, Paul (Susan) Bill; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bill; sister-in-law, Sr Rose Bill and several nieces and nephews.
Betty graduated from St. John's High School and Central City Business Institute, CCBI, both in Syracuse, NY. She was married in 1953 to Leon Bill and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend to many. Betty was a very religious person who spent her life making a home for her family, being a visible role model in faithful service to the church and devotedly reciting the rosary. She supported Leon and her family up and down the east coast as his work for IBM required them to move several times from New York to Florida to Maryland and back to New York.
Betty was an avid Yankees fan, always knowing when they won. She enjoyed detective series, Golden Girls, and game shows on television. Playing cards was her favorite pastime. Scopa, Kings Corners, and Solitaire were played most often-and she always played to win!
Her impact will remain with us through the memories of her sparkling blue eyes and wonderful smile, her daily phone calls, filling us up with pizzelles and tarrelles for the holidays and pulling us all together with soup or sauce at family gatherings.
The family would like to thank the staff of Elizabeth Church Manor, especially Jennifer Holmberg, P.A., for their concern and care for Betty.
