Elizabeth B. "Bette" Palmer's Obituary
Elizabeth B. Palmer “Bette”, 92, passed away on October 8, 2020 at Elderwood at Liverpool where she had been living for the past 2 1/2 years. She was born on March 31, 1928 in Rochester, NY to Burton H. And Viola Yost Brydge. She graduated from West High School in Rochester and worked primarily as a homemaker throughout her life. She held part time positions for companies such as Strong Hospital and Wegmans Pharmacy. Bette was a long-time member of the Civic Social Club of greater Syracuse, avid Bridge player, traveler, seamstress, crafter, and collector of antiques.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings, Kathryn Swink and Theodore Brydges, and her granddaughter, Brianna Palmer.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Karen Palmer (Stan Herendeen), Rochester, NY and Janice Palmer (Billy Buckner), San Pedro, CA; a son, Dale Palmer (Maria Salom), Torrance, CA; grandchildren, Andrew Herendeen,(Alexis) Takoma Park, MD, Emily Herendeen, Albany, NY, Josie Alvarez (Juan) Torrance, CA, Annalina Palmer, Torrance, CA, Matthew Horn, Torrance, CA; great grandchildren, Julian Alvarez, Joshua Alvarez, Jasmine Alvarez, Sophie Herendeen, and Charlie Herendeen.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Onondaga Lake Park.
