Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Vogel) Ranalli's Obituary
Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Vogel) Ranalli, 97, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Betty was born in Norristown, PA to George J. and Anna Marie (Hanrahan) Vogel.
Betty’s favorite hobbies consisted of gardening, cooking, baking, visiting churches, knitting, ceramics, and just being outdoors.
She loved anything “Betty-Boop” and enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra (My Way) and watching old Lucile Ball movies. She enjoyed reading and definitely shopping and getting her hair done.
Her grand-dog “Monkey” had a special place in her heart. Her grandchildren called her grandma and Mom-Mom.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jean Gilinsky, and former husband, James P. Ranalli.
Betty is survived by her children, Linda Ranalli of Syracuse, Georganne (William) McClusky of Orange County, CA., John J. (Rosemary) Ranalli of Baldwinsville, Elizabeth A. Ranalli of Westvale, James P. (Lori) Ranalli, Jr. of Camillus and Jean (Chris) Witt of Liverpool; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Antoinette (Ranalli) Rusyniak; along with several nieces.
The family would like to send a special thanks to all the staff and friends at the Peregrine Senior Living Facility at Onondaga Hill.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Drive, Syracuse. She will be laid to rest privately in Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
