EllaJane (Jones) Baumgardner's Obituary
EllaJane (Jones) Baumgardner, 96, of Liverpool, passed away January 9, 2019 at The Hearth at Greenpoint. She was born in Russia, NY and lived in Milford, NY during her youth. She married and raised her family in Oneonta, NY, retiring from SUNY at Oneonta. EllaJane moved to Liverpool in 2011 and enjoyed her retirement with friends and family at The Hearth at Greenpoint. She loved to crochet hand towels for family and friends, jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid Bingo player. She was an animal lover, especially fond of Beagles. EllaJane was a great baker, pies and half-moon cookies were her specialty. Family was the most important part of her life. She loved us all and we will miss her forever.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward P. Baumgardner; her parents, William and Helen Jones; siblings, Luther Jones, Dorothy Mackey, Ruth Simmons and Mary Palmer.
EllaJane is survived by her children, Gale J. Lukaczyk (Stephen) of N. Syracuse; Dennis (Sharon) Baumgardner of Wildwood, FL and Ronald (Kathleen) Brienza of Marietta, NY; grandchildren, John (Lisa) Brienza, Jennifer Thompson, Stacy (Christopher) Klob, Michael (Tara) Baumgardner, Joseph Lukaczyk and Jared Lukaczyk; great-grandchildren, Carmen and Carli Brienza, TJ and Taylor Thompson, Tristan and Sawyer Klob, Leo Baumgardner; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 12 pm – 1pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 1 pm at Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta, NY.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
