Ellen M. Kessler's Obituary
Ellen M. (Kunzelman) Kessler, 91, of Liverpool, passed away Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of Assumption High School. Ellen was employed with General Electric for many years. She loved her card club and was a member of the Town of Salina Senior Citizens. Ellen was very active with Immaculate Heart of Mary Church as a greeter, lector and Eucharistic Minister.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Antoinette (Richter) Kunzelman; husband, Donald Kessler in 1977; son, Richard Kessler in 2002 and 4 siblings, Marion, Shirley, Mildred and Charles.
Ellen is survived by her twin daughters, Diane Kessler of Liverpool and Donna (Thomas) Loadwick of Watertown; 4 granddaughters, Courtney (Brian) Bauer, Kimberly (Michael) Aubertine, Karen (Jeff) Rose and Sarah (Chris) Prouty; 1 grandson, Shane Kessler; 4 great-grandchildren, Haley, Sydney, Emily and Keeley; 2 sisters, Norma Kessler of Liverpool and Germaine Corbett of Syracuse; a brother, Francis (Mary) Kunzelman of West Monroe, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Ellen’s life at 10:00 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
