Elsie J. (Sysnik) Pirro's Obituary
Elsie J. (Sysnik) Pirro, 84, of Camillus, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Francis House surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse, she was a homemaker and raised 7 children with her husband. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, trips to the casinos, and traveling with her husband, “Jack.” The most important thing to Elsie was her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Elsie was predeceased by her parents, Edward Sysnik and Helen (Wieczorek) Oswald, and her stepfather, Charles Oswald.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James A. Pirro; 7 children, Linda A. Cooper, Deborah M. Pirro, James R. (Bonnie) Pirro, Robert A. Pirro, Gail S. (Andrew) McFarland, Carolyn D. (Timothy) Baker, and Michael E. (Stephanie) Pirro; 9 grandchildren, Michael A., Jennifer, Michael T., Robbie, Austin, Valerie, Tyler, Andrea, Anthony; 8 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service in celebration of Elsie’s life will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, 13212, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, NY 13219. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY 13212.
