Emilio (Michael) was the most creative ballroom dressmaker in the New York metropolitan area for decades. When he moved to Mississippi before Katrina, it was a major blow to the ballroom dressmaking industry. He was also a very kind and honest man. Women would flock to his studio to have their dance costumes made by "Emilio". He never took shortcuts. He always designed the dress for the woman, keeping in mind her strengths and weaknesses. I will never forget him designing a magnificent senior prom gown for my 6'2 inch daughter. He had a gift and I will miss him.
