Emily G. Fratello's Obituary
Emily G. (D'Agostino) Fratello, 89, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Friday at Community General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Emily worked as a book keeper for several local businesses including Zeamon's Produce for 25 years. Emily enjoyed her summer home on Lake Ontario and was most passionate about cooking and gardening and spending time with her cherished family. She was predeceased by her soul mate and loving husband of over 60 years, Leonard T. Fratello, who passed away July 15, 2006 and her son-in-law, Fortunato "Rocco" Oppedisano. Surviving are daughters; Leonora Oppedisano of Liverpool, Emily (Mark) Wolff of Syracuse and Marlene (John) Beyers of Jamesville; 10 grandchildren; Theresa, Salvatore, Leonard (Rebecca), Frank, Dominick (Kristin) Oppedisano, Sarah (Baker) Howey, Jack (Jennifer) Baker, Elizabeth Wolff, Jason (Kristen) and Matthew Beyers and six great grandsons. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 P.M. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
