Emma (Szabo) Buchanan's Obituary
Emma (Szabo) Buchanan, 87, of Brewerton, NY, formally of North Chili, Rochester, passed away peacefully at home with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.
Emma was born in Hungary, July 17, 1935. Emma and her late husband, Joseph Szabo came to the United States in 1957, to escape during the Hungarian Revolution. They lived in Baldwinsville for about twenty years before moving to Mahwah, NJ with her husband Dick. After the passing of Dick, she moved to North Chili, Rochester for twenty-three years before moving to Brewerton.
Emma loved shopping, walking and enjoyed the fifteen cruises she went on.
She is predeceased by her daughter; Emike Havnaer, and both husbands Joseph Szabo and Richard Buchanan.
Emma is survived by her daughter, Agnes Lazzaro and son-in-law, Paul Lazzaro; three grandchildren, Hope (Chippi) Arnautu, Clayton (Jamie) Johnson, and Daniel (Lindsay) Lazzaro; and six great-grandchildren.
Per Emma’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Mausoleum entombment will take place in Mahwah, NJ.
